Grams Crazy 8s Birthday

For Grandma's 88th birthday we decided to have a "Crazy Eights" party.

We told people to dress up crazy - and of course, because our family is awesome, they did.

We got a bunch of games from grandma's basement that we played when we were younger.

Hot potato was a little hard, the sound was too low to hear over all the noise.

Bop-it was a big hit!

As was Big Bird's pick up sticks.

I think Grandma's favorite though was Leap Frog!

Grandma is ALWAYS worried about her purse, anytime we go anywhere she is constantly asking, now where is my purse. So we had to play "pin the purse on the Donna"

We got a bunch of silly props and did a photobooth. That turned out to be the best part of the evening.

It was a great party! Now we have to figure out how to top it for 90!

Happy Birthday Gram!

January Disneyland Trip

Of course January can only mean one thing, getting out of the inversion and into sunny California.
Lauren was pretty excited to feel the lovey California breeze the minute we got into our rental car.

Our first night we went over to California adventure, got some dinner, and ended up with some pretty stellar seats for the World of Color show.

This is why I love Disneyland!

It was so foggy our first night there, it was really cool to see the fog shrouding the cliffs at Cars Land.

Julie's favorite ride (haha)

Julie is a great sister and braves the teacups with me whenever we don't have another teacup lover in the group.

I don't remember what happened here - Julie - a little help?

Lauren was excited that they had chocolate dipping sauce for the churros on this trip.

Julie was waiting for us while we all went on a ride and when we got back, she had transformed into a nun.  In all fairness, her ears were cold!

Looking super fabulous - waiting for dinner at out favorite - Blue Bayou.

I have the best siblings.

We finally got a picture with the 4 of us in front of the castle.

The best part of the trip was that when we went to the airport to go home, our flight was delayed, so we decided to change our tickets and leave a day later, so we dropped our stuff off and spent a bonus day in California, while it snowed in Utah.
Hooray for bonus days!

Christmas Memories

After my birthday comes Christmas. It was a crazy year, singing in a choir, with concerts right up until Christmas Eve made it pretty stressful, but we managed to have some fun.

First, our annual Armour family Christmas celebration with the pope.

Julie was THRILLED that Alfie Boe was the guest performer for the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert.
As soon as the final note was sung, she was racing over to Deseret Book to get in line for an autograph.

Then it was time for my favorite Christmas tradition, driving through the cemetery to see the luminaries.

It is always SO beautiful and peaceful.

We spent a Sunday evening helping mom get presents ready for school.

Even gram got in on the fun!

It was a busy Christmas season, by the end we were all ready for a long winters nap.
